Because he's sitting over the edge of the bed, now that the Sleep spell finally wore off, holding the... comm-shell thing in one hand. He still looks exhausted as all hell, though he's managing a small smile through it all.]

The SOLDIER gives a weak laugh, shaking his head and allowing his bangs to wave in front of his face.]

Man, I've been lookin' after a lot of newbies, but Cloud's been pretty much keepin' to himself from what I can tell.

To be honest... Even with all its faults and issues and stuff, Vatheon is still almost better than what I have to go back to.

Uh, don't get me wrong! I love my homeworld. Radiant Garden is the best city in the history of ever as far as I'm concerned, and I'd love to see my family again.

But I wouldn't really have long to enjoy it if I go back to the time I was taken from. Something kind of... happens to it. Maybe I'm just bein' a chicken, but I'd rather not have to face that for a long while yet.

--actually, we've got somethin' in common, there. If I'm away from Gaia an' Cloud's here an' safe with me, then I'd be happy to stay right here.

ShinRa? Doesn't ring a bell. My memory's sharp, so I'd remember if anyone mentioned that.

That's after havin' the whole army on my ass just from tryin' to get somewhere safe. Cloud was sick, so he couldn't do much fightin' but I wouldn't doubt they'd do the same damned thing to him even in his condition. Hell, even to you if they deemed you traitor.

Some from ShinRa are still good - a very, very few amount, but they're there. It's mainly the Science Department and the army you'd need to watch out for - though the Turks I'm a little biased on.

Anyway, if I see 'em, I'll know whether they're safe or not.
